"We have captured the notebook and have begun investigating the event," a spokesman from Dell is reported as saying following a laptop manufactured by the company exploding and catching on fire at a conference in Osaka, Japan. It's not really something I've ever thought about when I use my (non-Dell) laptop. I'm not sure how well I'd cope if it burst into flames while I was using it. The report of the event doesn't mention if anyone was using the computer at the time. There were no reports of injuries.(Thanks for the lead Feather-Starfish.)
