Re-makes

What has happened to all the writers out there? Are people not having original thoughts any more? And if they are, why aren't the studios buying them? Why are there so many re-makes of movies at the cinemas, and so many reality programs on television. Where are the bright new ideas? They don't even have to bright, just new. Yes, we all know there is nothing new in show business, but there must be two thoughts people can string together in a way they haven't been strung together before! Yes, I know, I could start.
